Should I choose a rebar shear line or a single cutting machine?
Quick answer: it depends on volume and diameter. For batch cutting of 10–40 mm rebar to lengths of 500–12000 mm, the GDQX-500 shear line is far faster and more accurate; for occasional cuts of 50–70 mm heavy bar, a single GQ70A cutter is the right tool.
Shear line (GDQX-500): cuts 10–40 mm rebar, and cuts multiple bars at once — for example 45 bars of Ø10 or 4 bars of Ø40 per stroke in HRB400 — with a length tolerance of ±3 mm/m. Total line power is 47.8 kW, so it needs a proper three-phase supply and floor space (about 28 m long).
Single cutter (GQ70A): one bar at a time, up to 70 mm A3 steel, on an 11 kW motor. It is portable, cheap to run, and right for job sites that cut a few dozen bars a day rather than tons.
